HOUSTON – There will be a mix of sun and clouds Thursday, and that forecast should remain the same over the next couple of days, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez said.

Thursday kicked off with lows in the mid-70s and highs are expected to top off in the low-to mid-90s. There is also a 20-percent chance we may see a few isolated showers across a few areas.
Most of the showers will stay along the coast until about 10 a.m., then will move inland giving some of us a few pop-up showers. That rain will move out completely by 5 p.m. and the remainder of the day will be hot.
Rain will return to the forecast tomorrow afternoon, lasting through the weekend.
Out in the Tropics, we are tracking yet another disturbance.  There is a tropical wave that is dumping lots of rain on tourists in Puerto Rico and we will be watching it over the next seven days to see if it will head in our direction.
