HOUSTON – Houston police are searching for an anonymous 911 caller after a woman’s burned body was found between two homes on the southeast side of town.
According to the Houston Police Department, the body of a woman in her late teens or early twenties was found around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
“We’re going to probably look into going to the place where the call was made – where it originated – the anonymous caller,” said HPD Officer P. Vela. “Hopefully surveillance footage will show someone using the phone.”
The body was found between two homes on Miller Street near Bell Street.
HPD said whoever called 911 to report the body did so from a payphone at a nearby gas station and then left the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call HPD Homicide or Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
