HOUSTON –- A triple shooting left one person dead and two others wounded at a southwest Houston condo where drugs and weapons were later found, police said.
Officers with the Houston Police Department said they were called to the 6500 block of Sands Point Drive around 2:30 a.m. Friday following reports of a home invasion.
Police found one person shot and another person dead in the parking lot of a condo complex. Witnesses said a third person who was also shot was taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
According to homicide investigators, narcotics and robbery were the motive for the home invasion turned fatal shooting, but it wasn’t immediately clear who the suspects were.
Witnesses told police a dark colored car sped from the scene and even smashed through a gate to get out of the complex.
