HOUSTON – A pedestrian is in critical condition after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident early Saturday morning in northwest Houston, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 1:30 a.m., a man was walking alongside the road in the 5100 block of Highway 6 near Addicks Satsuma Road when suddenly he decided to cross the street, witnesses said. The pedestrian walked out in front of a silver Toyota Celica and was struck by the car.
Witnesses said the driver stopped and inspected his car and drove off, witnesses said.
The pedestrian was transported to Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center in critical condition, deputies said.
