HARRIS COUNTY -- Two more grow houses were busted in northwest Harris County on Tuesday.

In the last few weeks, Houston police have discovered and raided a number of grow houses across the city.

On Wednesday, two homes in northwest Harris County, just north of Beltway 8, were busted. One of the homes was located in the 10500 block of Canyon Crest.

While the homes are usually empty, police found a Vietnamese man in his 30's when they entered the home.

After talking with him, police said the suspect told them about another house where he was also growing hydro marijuana.

That house was located in the 6700 block of Chippewa. Inside that home there were dozens of young plants surrounded by a sophisticated grow system.

Investigators confiscated the plants and much of the expensive equipment.

Officials said the combined street value of the marijuana was near $500,000.
