NAVASOTA, Texas – A worker was seriously injured when a car smashed through the wall of a convenience store in Navasota.
Police said the woman behind the wheel was drunk when the accident occurred.
According to police, she told officers she tried to hit the brakes, but police said surveillance video showed her speeding across the parking lot.
The security video showed an inside view of the store as the car plowed through an outside wall and into the checkout area. The worker, a cashier, suffered head and arm injuries and was sent to the hospital.
Navasota is located about 75 miles northwest of Houston.
