HOUSTON -– A Chevron gas station in Montrose had its ATM stolen for the second time on Monday morning after a pair of crooks smashed a pickup truck into the store’s entrance.
It happened on Montrose at W. Dallas around 3:45 a.m.
Police said the thieves smashed a big window to get into the business, which was closed at the time.
A worker inside hid behind a counter until the burglars were gone. No injuries were reported.
Surveillance cameras may have captured the crime on video, police said.
A store manager told KHOU 11 this is the second time the store has been broken into for its ATM.
