Concrete truck burns on Southwest Freeway; all lanes back open

HOUSTON -- Three right lanes were blocked off on the Southwest Freeway outbound after an early-morning truck fire.

The freeway has since reopened.

Police at the scene said the concrete truck's rear brakes may have overheated, causing the fire that burned the truck.

The driver was able to pull over and get out without injury.
