Louetta shut down after man killed by train

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Louetta Road was shut down in the Champion Forest area after a man was struck and killed by a train, deputies say.

As of 5 a.m. the roadway was shut down in both directions as the investigation was still underway at Vintage Preserve Parkway in northwest Harris County.

Authorities say the train was traveling northbound when it hit the man.

The roadway is expected to remain blocked until about 7 a.m. Morning commuters can take Cypresswood Drive to get around the blocked roadway and access Highway 249.
