HOUSTON -- Police say the Houston Police Department's Sex Crimes Division may just have arrested a serial rape suspect. A suspect that they have been tracking down for months.

Houston police are reportedly bringing victims in for line-ups. It's been a long 24-hours for investigators, but it will be well worth it if they get a serial rapist off the street.

The suspect is 21-year-old Marcus Duff-Thompson.

He's was behind bars Thursday and charged with burglary with intent to commit another crime. He is also charged with rape.

Additional aggravated sexual assault charges are expected soon police sources told 11 News.

Houston police believe he is the man responsible for at least four attacks on women that happened in September, December, January and again in February.

All of the attacks occurred on the city's southwest side.

One of the takes took place in the 9400 block of Dairy Ashford. The other three occurred at an apartment complex on Dairy View.

The victims are between the ages of 22 and-32.

Police showed us two composite drawings of the suspect back in February and said that the suspect climbed balconies to reach two of the victims.

The attack on Dec. 26 was especially brutal.

“He then started punching her in the face. The victim then started pleading with the suspect saying ‘I’ve got a child and its Christmas,’ in which the suspect answered ‘Shut up! Christmas is over, (expletive),’ He then proceeded to sexually assault her,” said HPD Lt. Mike Waterwall.

In February, Waterwall said that he believed the suspect lived in the area.

Searching court documents on Thursday, 11 News found that Marcus Duff-Thompson was listed with two home addresses. One in the 9700 Block of Court Glen, the other in the 6400 block of Westheimer near Voss.

Both are located on Houston's southwest side not far from where the rapes occurred.

It is unclear at this time what lead police to this suspect and Duff-Thompson’s arrest.
