Man dubbed 'Bilingual Bandit' hits

HOUSTON -- It happened at the Laredo National Bank at 5708 Bellaire at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 2.
Reports from the scene indicate that the robber pointed a large handgun at the teller and yelled out his demands in both English and Spanish.
The feds say that the man dubbed the “Bilingual Bandit” threatened to shoot the teller if she did not comply with his demands.
Once he had the cash in hand, the feds say, he fled the bank on foot.
“Bilingual Bandit” is described as being 25 to 28-years-old, 5’11” tall, average build, with a light complexion.
He had tattoos on both his arms, and was wearing a light colored baseball cap, black tee shirt, black jeans, and white tennis shoes.
He also wore black fingerless gloves during the robbery.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and arrest of the “Bilingual Bandit” or any felony suspect.
