Police: Man rammed other vehicles after arguing with wife

LEAGUE CITY, Texas—A man is sitting in the Galveston County Jail Monday after he allegedly went on a smashing spree in his truck.

Police said Toefield Coleman was driving his truck along I-45 between FM 528 and the Galveston Causeway Bridge at 11:30 p.m. Sunday when he intentionally rammed into passing cars.

Reports indicate that Coleman was arguing with his wife and began to use his pickup truck as a battering ram.

Authorities say he plowed into several vehicles before eventually coming to a stop.

Several people who were injured were treated at a local hospital.

Coleman eventually crashed the truck in Galveston and was arrested.

He is is facing six counts of aggravated assault. Police say Coleman is being held on a $600,000 bond.

Police from League City, Texas City and Galveston, as well as the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, are investigating the case.
