GALVESTON – The Coast Guard had to pick up a cruise ship passenger by helicopter.

The ship, Voyager of the Seas, was 200 miles southeast of Galveston when a 14-year-old passenger apparently fainted and was in need of medical attention.

The helicopter crew picked up the girl and took her to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Her condition is not known.
