Another hot day ahead for Houston area
10:41 AM CDT on Wednesday, August 27, 2008
HOUSTON—In Houston, one thing is for certain: It’s still summer.
11 News Meteorologist David Paul said to expect another hot day with the possibility of rain in the afternoon.
“Yesterday we had some strong scattered afternoon thundershowers, and we’ll have a 30 percent chance to do that again today,” Paul said.
But rain or no rain, it’s going to be hot.
The mercury is expected to reach 95 Wednesday, and similar mid-90 highs are predicted for the rest of the week.
With Gustav moving into the Gulf as the weekend approaches, Paul said to make sure you have your hurricane plan in place – just in case.
