HOUSTON -- A former Precinct 4 deputy constable was in court overnight Tuesday, accused of ripping off drug dealers.

Terrence Richardson and his alleged accomplice, barbershop owner Brandy Jermaine Sykes, appeared before a judge for a detention hearing.

The two allegedly planned drug deals in the Precinct 4 area, but instead of busting the bad guys, they took off with the money.

HPD got word from crooks that a uniformed officer was ripping them off and set up a sting.

That’s when HPD said its undercover officers caught Richardson and Sykes in the act.

Richardson is charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.  He’s being held on $195,000 bond.

Sykes is charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and is being held on $120,000 bond.
