Police: Suspect pulls knife on man, demands hot dog

AUSTIN – Police have arrested a man they say pulled a pocket knife on someone on 6th Street, demanding a hot dog.

The incident happened on Saturday. The victim told investigators he was standing in line at a hot dog stand in the 400 block of East 6th Street at before 3 a.m., when the suspect held a knife to him and told him to buy him a hot dog or he would stab him, according to the police affidavit.

The victim bought the suspect a hot dog and then flagged down a police officer to point out the suspect.

The police officer caught up with the suspect, identified as Antoniel Odale, 19, at the intersection of East 7th Street and Trinity, and say he was eating a hot dog.

The officer arrested Odale and searched his front pockets and say an open pocket knife was found. 

Odale was taken to the Travis County on a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, a first-degree felony. Bond was set at $15,000.
