Police officer shoots suspect outside Dickinson strip club

DICKINSON, Texas—A Dickinson police officer was involved in a shooting outside a strip club Wednesday night.
It happened around 10:45 p.m. at the Heartbreakers Club in the 3200 block of the Gulf Freeway.
According to police, the officer was responding to some kind of disturbance in the back parking lot when he was approached by a man in a Cadillac.
Police said the man began attacking the officer, and, fearing for his life, the officer shot him.
The man was transported to Ben Taub.
The officer was not hospitalized.
