KHOU.com staff report

HOUSTON -- Police are looking for a Houston woman who's accused of endangering her newborn daughter by taking her out of the hospital without a doctor's approval.

HPD

Patrice Davis

They put out an alert for 20-year-old Patrice Davis.

The woman's daughter was in Ben Taub's intensive care unit because she tested positive for opiates and PCP when she was born Wednesday.

Before the baby could be taken into CPS custody, Davis took her out of Ben Taub.

The suspect’s last known address is 2901 Fulton, #340 in Houston.

Police believe Davis is endangering the life of her baby by preventing ongoing medical treatment.

If you know anything about the case, please call the HPD Missing Persons Unit at 713-731-5223.
