Investigators: Love triangle led Harris Co. deputy to shoot man

HOUSTON—A Harris County deputy was arrested after an alleged love triangle led to a shooting Saturday.

Fort Bend County investigators said Jorge Figueroa’s wife was having a relationship with another man.
For some reason, that man, James Perez, went to the couple’s home when Figueroa was there.
Investigators said the men got into an alteration, and when Perez turned to leave, Figueroa shot him in the back.
Perez survived and has since been released from the hospital.
Figueroa is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
