Recalls for Lean Cuisines, GE wall ovens
08:37 AM CST on Wednesday, November 19, 2008
Officials have issued a recall for certain Lean Cuisine meals and about 244,000 GE wall ovens.
The Lean Cuisines were recalled because the dinners may have small pieces of plastic in them.
The affected meals include Pesto Chicken With Bowtie Pasta, Chicken Mediterranean and Chican Tuscan dinners.
The meals can be returned at the place of purchase for a full refund.
You can find out more by calling Lean Cuisine at 800-993-8625.
As for the GE ovens, the affected models were sold under the GE, GE Profile, Monogram and Kenmore brands between October 2002 to December 2004.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said there may be a fire hazard associated with the ovens because some of the doors were attached incorrectly.
The malfunctioning doors don’t allow enough heat out of the oven during the self-cleaning cycle and won’t open to the flat position.
You can call GE at 888-569-1588 for a free repair.
