Cat hitches ride from Florida to Texas under hood of new SUV

HOUSTON – A cat named Mystic hitched a ride from northern Florida and came all the way to Conroe.
The cat and her owners were at a rest stop in Florida when she jumped out of the RV, and climbed under the hood of a brand new Chevy Tahoe.
The Tahoe wasn’t on the road, but on a car carrier heading to Buckalew Chevrolet in Conroe.
A mechanic at the dealership popped the hood and found Mystic. She was wearing a collar with a phone number.
"I got the call and I thought I was going to die. I couldn’t believe it,” said Norma Ruggles, cat’s owner.
Norma Ruggles happened to be in Port Arthur when she got the good news. She was able to pick up the cat in Conroe.
