Serial robbers strike lower Westheimer area
02:00 PM CDT on Thursday, October 16, 2008
HOUSTON -- HPD is looking for a couple of robbers who will likely strike again. The suspects have been involved in at least five aggravated robberies in the lower Westheimer area.
Sometimes they work alone, sometimes together, police said they are always armed. Four of the robberies occurred at businesses just west of Midtown.
Laura Anderson was one of two women working at one of the businesses.
“We heard the click of the gun. That's when we turned around and saw him. It just took a few moments, and he was right there with a gun,” said Anderson.
Two days later, a CVS on Waugh was robbed, then a Paks store on West Alabama.
Two other places held up by the same men included Al’s Quick Stop on Waugh and a Blockbuster Video.
“The two suspects are working exclusively in one part of the city, so I believe they are from this part of town,” said Sergeant Nieto of the Houston Police Department.
If you have any information on these two suspects, call Crime Stoppers.
