HOUSTON—A feud between two female neighbors escalated into a shooting late Monday night, leaving one woman in critical condition and the other in jail.

It happened on Chipman at Dyna in north Houston.

Detectives say that the two women got into a heated argument a few days ago, and that argument boiled over into a fist fight Monday night.

According to detectives, at one point one of the women got a gun and began shooting.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, and her suspected shooter was taken into custody.
