They have filed a lawsuit claiming the driver who hit their mother was driving recklessly.
Arilla Carr, 61, was the last passenger to step off the bus Monday when she got tangled underneath and dragged.
Police say she had just gotten off the bus at Veterans Memorial and Pecan Drive in North Houston when the bus cut across the shoulder of the road. The back end of the bus went up on the curb where Carr was about to cross the street.
According to the lawsuit, Metro had 273 accidents during the first three months of this year.
Carr was a regular passenger on the bus that she took from her job as a program director at Texas Southern University to her home in North Houston.
