Baytown police seek 'Bonnie and Clyde'
06:00 PM CDT on Friday, July 25, 2008
BAYTOWN, Texas -- Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a pair of robbers they have dubbed "Bonnie and Clyde."
The duo struck the Airwood Grocery Store in the 2500 block of Park Street in Baytown on Thursday. At about 6:30 p.m., “Clyde” entered the store, pointed a gun in the face of the clerk and shot the store employee once in the arm. “Bonnie” jumped over the counter and helped gather up an undetermined amount of money before the pair took off.
The robbers drove off in a white 2002 Toyota Sequoia with the license plate 839-KMY. As it turns out, the getaway SUV was stolen from Houston.
Baytown police described Clyde as a white male with a goatee. He was wearing blue Nomex coveralls and a camouflage Houston Astros hat.
Bonnie was described as having a slight build and dark hair.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at (713) 222-8477.
