HOUSTON – Officials have released a 911 call made after Friday’s deadly crane accident at the Lyondell Basell plant in southeast Houston.

Four workers were killed in that accident, but initially witnesses feared even more had been lost. 

Investigators are still trying to determine why the crane fell.

It was also revealed that three days before the accident OSHA announced a crackdown in Texas and in four other states on unsafe cranes.

They say they did it because there were too many deadly accidents.
