TEXAS CITY -- A toxicology report of a Galveston County woman who drowned in her flipped over car as she begged for help in a 911 call shows the 20-year-old was drunk and high on a euphoria-inducing narcotic at the time of the accident that resulted in her death.

The report, released by Texas City police late Friday, shows that Kristen Anet Sanchez’s blood-alcohol level was .176 – more than twice the legal limit and that she had traces of the party drug ecstasy in her system.
Sanchez was killed April 26 when her car slid off State Highway 146 in Texas City and flipped over into a small pond. She was stuck in the car for more than 20 minutes before emergency responders could reach her.
Her terrifying ordeal was captured, in part, by a heart breaking 911 call in which she pleaded for help and a desperate La Marque dispatcher’s efforts to pinpoint her location and get help to her failed.
Texas City investigators also released a copy of the autopsy report Friday. That report revealed no new information and only confirmed that Sanchez’s death was a drowning.
