KATY, Texas—The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a suspect in the attempted sex assault of a 15-year-old girl in Katy.

The girl was at the Falcon Point Neighborhood Center Park Thursday when the attack occurred.

Police say the girl was laying on a piece of playground equipment when an adult Hispanic male approached and attacked her.

The girl struggled to break free, but not before the suspect removed her shorts.

The girl ran from her attacker and escaped with only minor cuts and bruises.

The suspect is described as having a dark complexion and an average build with muscular arms. He’s believed to be in his mid 30s to early 40s and approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall.

One of his upper teeth is longer than the others, and he has a scar or dark discoloration on his right lower cheek.

At the time of the assault, he was wearing a solid black cap with a white bill and a white button on top, a white short-sleeved shirt, dirty blue jeans and brown lace-up boots.

He has a very deep voice and a thick accent.

His vehicle is described as a two-door extended cab deep green truck.  It has a 3- to 4-inch black racing stripe down the side.  The side windows are tinted, but the front window is not. The truck appeared to be a late model that was newly restored.

The tires are small and the rims are not new.

The victim said she saw a white plastic-like barrel in the bed of the truck, and the tail lights were darker than usual.
