HOUSTON -- The wife of Texas Supreme Court Justice David Medina is free Thursday night after turning herself in to authorities and posting a $42,000 bond.
Fran Medina said nothing as she left. She walked straight out of the intake center into a waiting car.
She was indicted Wednesday on arson and criminal mischief charges.
She’s accused of setting fire to their home in Spring last June. The home was destroyed.
The flames spread to two neighboring homes causing serious damage.
Investigators believe she did it to collect insurance money.
Her bail bondsman was with her during the booking process.

Fran Medina turned herself into authorities Thursday.
“Under the circumstances she was great. This is not anything that anybody wants to ever go through, but she was a lady through the whole thing,” bail bondsman Edd Blackwood said.
This was the second grand jury to hear the Medina case.
The first panel indicted Medina and her husband, but the case was dismissed by then Harris County D.A. Chuck Rosenthal.
David Medina was not indicted this time.
If convicted of the arson and criminal mischief charges, Fran Medina could face a range of punishment from probation to life in prison.
She is set to appear in court in late May.
