New Harris County DA officially named

AUSTIN -- Gov. Rick Perry officially named Harris County's interim district attorney Friday morning.
Kenneth Magidson has served as as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of Texas since 1983.
"As a highly respected and accomplished assistant United States attorney, Ken has the experience and leadership skills to lead the Harris County District Attorney’s Office over the next nine months," said Gov. Perry.
Former DA Chuck Rosenthal resigned in February after a scandal scandal involving the release of dozens of pornographic, racist and political e-mails on his office computer.
