Woman falls out of SUV on freeway, dies

HOUSTON -- Houston police are investigating the death of a woman who was killed on the Southwest Freeway early Sunday morning.
The woman, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s office.
Police say the victim was riding in the passenger side of a tan Lincoln Navigator when she fell out onto the freeway near the Buffalo Speedway exit. She was struck by an unknown number of vehicles that failed to stop and render aid.
The driver of the Navigator was taken to Ben Taub for a mandatory blood test.
