Boy, 6, hurt after car runs over his foot

A 6-year-old boy is recovering after a car ran over his foot.

The ordeal occurred Monday morning at a home in the 14500 block of Texarkana in East Harris County.
Reports from the scene indicate the 6-year-old and a 9-year-old were inside a running car when the older child put the car in gear.
The 6-year-old reportedly got scared and jumped out of the vehicle as it was rolling backwards.
It was then that the car ran over the younger child’s foot.
He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
His condition is unknown.
