Good Samaritan cab driver killed

A cab driver died at the hospital Monday after he was hit by a car.
Witnesses say the driver spotted a disabled SUV on the North Freeway around 3:10 a.m. and pulled over to offer help.
When he got to the vehicle, no one was there.
As he was returning to his cab, he was hit by a passing SUV.
Charges are pending against that driver, Micaela Liem, 37.
She was arrested at the scene after officers detected the strong odor of alcohol on her breath.
