Simultaneously, HPD’s Vice Division served warrants and made arrests at three separate locations Tuesday morning, all in the name of stamping out the sex trade.

Two suspects were taken to jail and charged with aggravated promotion of prostitution, money laundering and organized crime.

Loan Ong Smith, 51, is reportedly the madam at Sensations, a 24-hour spa in the Greenspoint area.

Police say the owner of the business is Quoc Vy Banh, 50. 

Police seized his bank records, two vehicles and confiscated computers at his home in far southwest Houston.

HPD says there are literally hundreds of these types of spas in Houston.

So many of them, in fact, it’s difficult to keep up with them all.

Police say many of the spas are operating illegally and involve Asian women who were brought to the States for the sole purpose of participating in the sex trade.

They also say U.S. citizens’ complaints about the spas come in daily.

That’s why they conducted surveillance at Sensations for several months.

Officers sat in the parking lot, working undercover.  They said they watched all the customers – mainly men – come and go from the business and recorded their names.

Inside, undercover officers were allegedly offered sex in exchange for cash.

During the raid Tuesday, police confiscated hundreds of condoms and sexual devices from inside the business – items obviously not needed for traditional massage.

If convicted, the spa's owner and operator could spend more than 10 years in prison.
