Fog delays, cancels flights into Houston

David Paul's foggy forecast

Dense fog in the Houston area is making the commute difficult Friday morning and even delaying and cancelling some flights.

All flights set to go to Bush Intercontinental and Hobby airports will not be allowed to depart until 10:30 a.m., and airport officials at IAH said they don't thinks to get back on schedule until noon or 1 p.m.

"The fog may lift in the next hour, but it is still pretty bad right now," 11 News meteorologist David Paul said.

During rush hour, visibility was between one-eighth and one-sixteenth of a mile throughout the viewing area.

One the fog burns off, the high for Friday will be 74 degrees.
