Fake degrees a growing Texas problem

It’s something that could actually threaten your life.
And once again, it’s another "plus” of the Internet in our lives: Bogus degrees from official sounding “institutions” that can be easily gotten in almost any profession.
In fact, the Web has made this business boom in size and grow more sophisticated.
Local public figures with fake degrees
Some schools sell their degrees outright, while others require some “educational work” that is far below what is required for a normal college degree.
But what’s worse, a federal investigation reveals people whose expertise we rely on are getting these fake “sheepskins:” police officers, medical experts and emergency administrators.
As a result, Texas legislators have made actually made it illegal for anyone to use a degree from any of a long-list of "schools" they’ve identified.
So that leaves one question: Why did the 11 News Defenders still find county and state officials using those same phony diplomas from those questionable institutions?
