Parents speak out about the ordeal

A family is up in arms over the treatment they received after rushing their choking son to a local hospital.

Bryce Brittimes is doing much better now, but on Saturday had a quarter-sized token lodged in his throat.

The four year olds parents tell 11 News they pleaded for help at LBJ Hospital, but instead were directed to fill out insurance forms first.

Then they say a hospital technician who was treating their son abruptly left at the end of her shift.

Now, they’ve lodged a formal complain against the hospital.

An LBJ spokesman confirms the hospital is conducting an internal investigation.
