Gangs using YouTube to advertise

Online, 11 News found a video that depicts a rough image of Houston's Fifth Ward. It’s an image city leaders would rather you not see.
The self-proclaimed gang members and drug dealers are bragging about their so-called thug life on a popular video site over the World Wide Web. 11 News brought the video to the attention of City Council member Jarvis Johnson
“They can't be the voice of Fifth Ward,” said Jarvis as he watched the video. The councilman’s district includes the Fifth Ward.
"The Fifth Ward has such a strong history, a strong culture, a strong sense of pride.
"I'm angry. I'm angry about a video that portrays such a great neighborhood in such a negative manner."
Congressman Mickey Leland and Congresswoman Barbara Jordan came from the Fifth Ward, as have major entertainers and athletes like boxing great George Foreman. But the video showcases none of that history only images of crime and drug dealing.
And images, possibly, of criminal activity. So, to find out what could be done 11 News showed the video to Precinct 6 Constable Victor Trevino.
"We have their picture clear cut, we can identify them. And if they are local, we can go after them and target them,” Trevino said.
Which could transform Internet video stars, into inmates?
