League of United Latin American Citizens showcase cultural arts in the parade followed by the Puertas del Arte festival from noon-5 p.m. today, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, 1001 Bissonnet.

Parade route

Texas City parade and festival

The parade begins at 10 a.m. and will travel north on Sixth Street to Ninth Avenue North and end at the Rotary Pavilion behind city hall. The festival will begin after the parade to 8 p.m. There will be music, entertainment, booths, food and games. The Ballet Folklorico Fiesta Mexicana at the Rotary Pavilion, 2010 Fifth Ave. N. in Texas City.

Elks Lodge/LULAC Cinco de Mayo celebration

The Elks Lodge No. 126 Auxiliary and LULAC No. 151 of Galveston have partnered to observe Cinco de Mayo with a fajita dinner at 6 p.m. at the Elks Lodge at 1518 Tremont in Galveston.
