Considering a search through tons of trash nearly impossible, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said Thursday it would not search a local landfill for the body of Tynesha Stewart. Investigators met with officials with Waste Management Thursday and estimated that there was less than a 70 percent chance that the Texas A&M student's body was located in a landfill on Wilson Road.

Tynesha Stewart's mother vows to find her missing daughter.
Authorities say late Wednesday night Stewart’s ex-boyfriend confessed to murdering her and dumping her body in a trash dumpster.
Tim Shepherd, 27, is now charged with murder.
He told authorities he strangled Stewart, put her in a plastic tote bag and dumped her body in this trash dumpster outside his apartment.
Shepherd's arrest and confession came after he contacted community activist Quanell X. He and Shepherd led police to a Dumpster in north Harris County on Wednesday.
Shepherd's bail was set at $250,000. He was not in court Thursday because he's on suicide watch in jail.
The co-ed, who had been missing for nearly a week, broke off her relationship with Shepherd in August.
But her mother, Gale Shields, says her ex just would not leave her alone. “I feel sorry for Timothy. I do. I’m working through my forgiveness, but I actually feel sorry for him.”
And now that the family knows what happened they that want her body found.

And not searching the landfills they say is not a option.
“Even though I know her spirit is in heaven. We want her body. So we can give her a proper burial. She wasn’t trash. She was not trash,” said Shields.
The sheriff department says it has not made a decision at this point but they are bracing for the worst.
“We would very much like to be able to return her to her family, but right now we are considering the very real possibility that we may have to proceed without it,” said Martin.
The mother of a missing Texas A&M student says she will never stop looking for her daughter's body and the authorities shouldn't either.
“We want her body so that we can give her a proper burial,” said Tynesha Stewart's mother Gale Shields. “She wasn’t trash! She was not trash! She was a human being. She was an Aggie."
Harris County officials are trying to determine if and how Stewart's body could be recovered from a landfill. They are talking with Republic Waste about logistics.
When asked if Tynesha's body would be found her mother said, "I am very confident that they will find her."
Officials said the Dumpster had been picked up at least twice since Stewart went missing March 15.
Shepherd, who had been interviewed several times by law enforcement about the disappearance of Stewart, had asked to speak to Quanell X to take him for a ride.
After hesitating more than once, he finally told Quanell to turn into an apartment complex on Ella.
Then eerily Shepherd slowly led Quanell and a Harris County detective to a Dumpster. Quanell then took the young man in his arms and began to pray.
That Dumpster is possibly where Stewart’s body was left. It was at that moment that it sunk in that the smiling woman many in the area had come to know was gone.
Her mother seemed resolved to the fact Stewart was not going to be found alive.

“I guess God wanted another angel around,” said Stewart’s mother. She had previously said the couple had a volatile relationship. About a year and a half ago, the boyfriend refused to let Stewart leave his apartment. So, her parents came with police.
Investigators said Shepherd had not confessed to killing Stewart. Quanell X though said that when he asked "is this where you put her," Shepherd told Quanell, "Yes."
For her family and friends, that already had an idea something bad had happened to her, the latest news was still hard to take.
Quanell X went to Harris County Homicide to give a statement, and the Dumpster was taken by the county for evidence.
The focus now is to find her body and to find out why she was killed.
On Wednesday, Stewart’s fellow Aggies -- those who knew her and those who didn't -- felt the need to leave school and join her family and volunteers. As they looked for her, one of Stewart’s uncles, Minnesota Vikings player Jason Glenn, joined the search. The linebacker flew in from Minnesota to help. Jason and his brother Aaron, who plays for the Dallas Cowboys, are Mrs. Shield’s brothers.
Vigil set for Thursday
There will be a vigil for Stewart, led by Quanell X, at the Red Oak Apartments in the 17700 block of Red Oak. It starts at 6 p.m.
