Houston Police said inside a convenience store Imran Ali Bhimji set up an electronic system allowing him to allegedly steal thousands of dollars.

Bhimji, 24, was arrested and charged with several counts of forgery last month. He went to jail and was released on bond.

But when it was time for him to show up in court, Bhimji was a no show and police say they need your help finding him.

Inside the store where he was an employee Bhimji was allegedly "skimming."

It's not exactly a new phenomenon, but it continues to make news around the country.

Skimming happens when a thief captures the magnetic information on the back of your debit or credit card and then watches you, sometimes with a small surveillance camera enter your PIN number.

With the card information and the PIN number the thief can go anywhere and withdraw cash or simply make a purchase.

Police say when a consumer went inside this store and Bhimji was working behind the counter he would allegedly skim their card twice through two different machines.

An informant told police that if Bhimji couldn't see the customer enter the PIN he would sometimes ask for the customer to do it again.

When Bhimji was arrested police said they found 69 fake white plastic cards he had allegedly made. All with new magnetic strips and PIN numbers written across the top.

Sadly most people that have been scammed by skimmers never know they are victims until they checked their bank statements.

So buyers beware and on the lookout for Imran Bhimji. If you know his whereabouts call Houston police.
