Man dies after walking away from wreck

A man walked away from a crash Wednesday night only to later die at a hospital.

The man's truck was still at the accident scene Thursday morning.
The wreck happened around 9:50 p.m. at McAllister Road and Ramus Street.
Houston police said the man ran off the road, hitting a building only a block away from his home.
"He got out of his pickup, walked to his house and wasn't feeling good," HPD Officer Michael Wick said. "And then a friend of his took him to the hospital, and unfortunately he died at the hospital."
It was actually the water department who called about his truck, because it had broken a water meter.
