Two young brothers won’t be able to open their gifts on Christmas day because some grinches snatched them right out of their home on the 5500 block of Farley in northeast Harris County.

This Christmas has been stolen from 7-year-old Xavier Lee and his 2-year-old brother.

Lacrecia Lee arrived at her rented home to find the front door open and a window broken.

Lee described the piles of presents she had under the family’s Christmas tree for her two sons, including a karaoke machine, a Play Station, cell phone and more.

But every gift is gone, carried off after thieves broke in through a window Thursday night while the family wasn’t home.

All that was left were empty stocking stuffers and Xavier’s broken heart.

“He just took it hard.  He just does not understand,” said Lee.

Lee could hardly understand how anyone could do this, especially during Christmas and especially to children.

“Expensive gifts,” she said. “They just took them.”

But gifts aren’t the only things they took off with.  Food in the freezer is missing, the family’s 51-inch LCD television disappeared and Xavier’s TV and DVD player were taken from his bedroom.  Checkbooks an d$300 in cash were also reportedly stolen.

The thieves did leave a trail of evidence.  Because of tire tracks on the lawn, Lecrecia thinks the crooks pulled in their car or truck and then hid it behind a vacant duplex across from her home.

It was foul play at the Lee home and Christmas is just three days away.
