A man police said abducted a 13-year-old girl has been charged with sexual abuse of a child.

Larry Wayne Parker was arrested late Thursday night.

An amber alert was issued after the missing girl's mother called police saying her daughter and Parker went missing Wednesday.

Parker, a convicted child predator, was aslso the girl's mother’s estranged boyfriend.

The story of how the teenager allegedly ended up with Parker is full of twists and turns.

Parker and the girl's mother had been seeing each other for several years in an on again-off again relationship.

She said the teenager voluntarily left with Parker after the mother and daughter fought.

Because Parker is a registered sex offender, he shouldn’t be alone with children.

Parker and the girl were found at Travis and Lamar Thursday. It is believed they had ridden the Metro Light Rail at some point.

The young teen was questioned at the Mykawa station while Parker was taken into custody.

Parker, 42, will be in court Monday.

He could face more charges including failing to register as a sex offender.
