Jewelry heist, chase lands one of three alleged thieves in jail

The ordeal began early Wednesday morning at a Zales Outlet on 5730 Highway 6. Security company officials alerted the Missouri City dispatch center as they were watching the burglary in progress on their monitors. Missouri City P.D. Dash cam is rolling as Missouri City police officers chase alleged jewelry thieves When police arrived, officials said, three men in a maroon Pontiac Grand Am drove off and police gave chase. Dash cam video captured the pursuit that went from Highway 6, north on 288, north onto US 59, east on I-10 and then ending at 2,800 Fontenot. Police said the suspects jumped out of the car and took off on foot. One was arrested after a short foot chase. The other two got away. Several pieces of jewelry were recovered at the scene.
