Mother pleads for children's paperwork stolen from moving truck

A family’s move to Houston from Florida hit a sour note when thieves stole nearly all their belongings. The Bragg family used two Penske trucks to haul their belongings to Houston. KHOU - TV Mother pleads for return of safe containing children's personal information The family was staying at the Hobby Marriott while they waited to close on their new home. But police said, early Monday morning someone stole one of the two trucks which had the family’s Volvo attached to it. “I was concerned with our three children. He immediately called a guy he flies with and said ‘hey can you hook me up with a helicopter?’ said Dikala Bragg. Her husband, who is a pilot, hopped on a chopper and searched the area looking for the missing truck. After one hour of flying around Houston, he spotted the stolen vehicle within five miles of the hotel. The Volvo was recovered, but a safe was missing from inside the moving truck. The Braggs say the safe doesn’t contain money, but rather important paperwork. “I want may safe back,” said Dikala Bragg. “If they would just drop it off at the police department. This mom went on to say, “You can have my furniture, you can have my clothes, you can have my belongings but I would love to have the records of my children,” said Dikala Bragg. The family said this is the second time a truck has been stolen from the Hobby Marriott within one week’s time.
