BRAZORIA COUNTY -- Pearland parents are demanding answers after their
children were given a satanic calendar filled with explict sexual
material in school.
KHOU The calendar featuring satanic rituals was handed out by a school police officer.
The school police officer who handed out the calendars was supposed to deliver a positive anti-gang message to the students on Monday.
Parents were shocked when they took a closer look at the calendar which was part of a packet of information. It featured satanic and sexual rituals for every day of the month.
"September 20th is a "midnight host" whatever that is. You should have a blood-type ritual," said one father as he read the calendar. "September 23rd is the fall equinox -- you should have an orgy. Activity group sex, any age, any sex."
The father, who didn't want to be identified because he feared his daughter would be punished, couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the calendar. "They shouldn't be teaching the kids, at 12 years of age, a calendar of satanism. It's just not right," he said.
Pearland ISD administrators admit 25 students at Pearland Junior High West received the calendars.
"It clearly was a mistake," said Renea Ivy, Pearland ISD spokesperson. "We don't want it to happen again and so -- it was not done with malice, it was not done to promote satanism in any way on the campus. It was just a mistake."

The calendar includes references to group sex and satanic sacrifices.
The officer says he got the packets from a anti-gang training course he took. Officials say he neglected to take out the adult material.
Some parents say that's inexcusable.
"I wouldn't pass anything out without reading it first," said Melissa Lacey, a parent.
Pearland ISD sent letters home with the students Wednesday to explain what happened and why.
Administrators say from now on all materials, especially those from guest speakers, must be approved by the principal before they are distributed to any classroom.
The police officer remains on duty pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
