MEXICO CITY -- The identical quintuplets born in Mexico will go home
soon after spending their first few weeks in intensive care.
The five tiny sisters will be released on from the hospital Friday.
KHOU Doctors say the babies are breathing without ventilators, eating well and gaining weight.
Doctors say the babies are in perfectly good condition. They’re breathing without ventilators, eating well and gaining weight.
Even so, their mother admits the babies will require special attention. She will rely on a sister and two nannies for help.
Their father, an accountant with the oil company Pemex, calls his daughters a blessing rather than a burden. The couple have two other Children -- an 8-year-old and a 21-month-old.
When they’re released from the hospital, the quintuplet sisters and their mother will take a commercial flight to their home state of Tabasco. Doctors there will continue to closely monitor the babies' progress.
Though they appear do be developing normally, they’re childhood is likely to be anything but normal. The sisters introduction to the world came amid a crush of cameras. The massive media attention is likely to follow them throughout their lives.
