BRYAN, Texas -- Texas A&M wide receiver Devante "Speedy" Noil, one of the top recruits in the country last fall, is not a person of interest in an aggravated robbery at Reveille Ranch, according to a report from KBTX.

While they typically do not comment on active investigations, Bryan police said they thought it was important to do so in this case because of rumors circulating on-line that implicated Noil in a July 23 robbery.

Investigators did reach out to Noil for questioning. Police said he has cooperated fully with the investigation and that he was out of town on July 23.

As for that robbery, police say a person was robbed at gunpoint in the stairwell of Reveille Ranch around 11 p.m. on July 23. The gunman was described as a black male, 6 foot or 6 foot, 1 inch tall, weighing 180 to 185 pounds with a muscular build and short afro.

Two days earlier, another victim was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of the same complex. The suspect was described as a black male, 5 foot 5 inches tall to 5 foot 7 inches tall and weighing 150 to 170 pounds.

The investigation is still ongoing into both robberies. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bryan Police Department at 979-209-5316.
