HOUSTON -- When you're in it, it certainly feels like Houston's traffic is the worst in Texas, and now a new study from Texas A&M University backs that up.

Texas A&M's Transportation Institute conducts an analysis each year to identify Texas' most gridlocked roadway sections. This year's list includes 1,785 corridors in 25 regions.

In Houston, the 610 West Loop from Interstate 10 to Highway 59 past the Galleria is the most congested stretch of road in the state, according to the study. The Texas A&M Transportation Institute found drivers spend more than a million hours each year stuck in that jam.

Highway 59 doesn't fare much better. Between the 610 West Loop to Highway 288 it ranks third on the study's list.

The Eastex Freeway from Interstate 10 to Highway 288 ranks sixth on the list.

Interstate 45 from the 610 North Loop past downtown to Highway 90 comes in at No. 9 on the list.
